What would you buy if you were rich?
Here are some ideas from local millionaires
I can't imagine having that much money and I have no idea what I would do with it (although on a serious note I probably would do a lot of donating).

how much money are we talking about? because i've always wanted an island
let's say i stumble across a million dollars (which really isn't a lot of money). i'd pay off our parents houses (probably about 200k between the two of them), travel well (let's say 75k for two weeks), buy my parents a smaller home closer to us (350k), renovate their current home (100k), save 200k for the kiddos, 25k to be indulgent on whatever want (new sheets? tv? couch? good food?), and 50k for diabetes research.

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
Define "rich"
I've always wanted a Hermes Birkin bag. I'd def buy that, maybe 2.
I always enjoy daydreaming about what I would do with the money if I suddenly came in to millions (lottery? amazingly eccentric billionaire who randomly picks me from a crowd?).
1) Pay what it takes to save my mom's house. (Caveat, she would have to submit to my desires to meet with some GOOD physicians and do what they say. I'm so worried about her but she has reality issues and won't believe any of us.)
2) Pay off our new mortgage and any debts.
3) Pay off my sister's mortgage so she wouldn't have to worry about the payments now that she's divorced.
4) Find a way to treat ILs for all their kindnesses.
5) Invest
6)TRAVEL!! TRAVEL!!
7) Go back to school so I could get an employment I enjoyed!
8) (if it were a HUGE amount of money) buy a vacation home in the south of France XD
this is totally my idea of happiness

because there's not enough money to travel longer than that...h and i traveled very cheaply when we were in tahiti (we literally ate bread and cheese for 2 of the 3 meals in a day) and we were starving most the time. we spent 18k for 15 days, with the "bottom class" room on the cruise ship, only 4 nights in a bungalow and 4 nights in a regular hotel room...and the bungalow wasn't the ones further out in the water, it was the "lower class" ones attached to the island (but still over the water). we even transferred hotels during new years eve to a less expensive hotel because the rates changed (this was prearranged). we also stayed on the island of tahiti, as opposed to bora bora, which is also more expensive.
