If someone switched out your pillow?
DH has these 2 nasty pillows. I'm sure that they were feather at one point, but now 30+ years later, I think they are scrunched up little bags of dust. I have them double encased in allergy pillowcases and they still make the exterior case dingy.
I recently got one new feather pillow and asked him to try it for a week. Although he complained a LOT, a month or so later he seems to be using it. So I tried combining the nasty pillows into 1 pillowcase. Together, they are more of a normal pillow size and he seems okay with that.
I'm wondering if I could slip a new feather pillow in place of the combined nasty pillows and whether he would notice?
Yes - I am completely willing to lie/go behind my DH's back to get this nastiness out of my bed.

I would notice, but I'm very picky about my pillows. I don't think H would notice if I were to switch if they were both of the same basic feeling.
Try it, but don't throw out the old one, just hide it. If he notices, you can always return it, but if he doesn't, toss the sucker.
I would notice, but I'm also pretty picky about my pillows--I need thick and firm, so unless they were switched out with something damn near identical, I would notice.
He is the most creature-of-habit person I have ever met.
I voted "no" for myself but it really depends. I use so many that I may or may not tell depending on which one your replaced, lol.

I love a well worn pillow, I hate brand new extra cushy pillows. And hotels, forget 'em. I always travel with my pillow and will wait years to buy a new one.
However, if it is that gross, I would suck it up and buy a new one.
Just tell him, "Darling, your pillow has lived it's life and it has got to go."
This- except I did get rid of it and he will never let me forget it.
