haha a friend of mine is already there and actually got to be there for his landing and got a few photos with him and her 3 year old!
i hope it's not mobbed, DH left a lil while ago to catch the motorcycle friendly ferry so we will be bombing around the island on his new ride! yum! also a bonus is that DH FINALLY took a day off this summer so we are staying to Monday - huge deal - as he never takes time off NEVER (damn production based bs jobs).
any who - have a great weekend and if I get to meet the Pres I'll say hi from the April '10 nesties! lol

hahahaha - sooo guess who shook the presidents hand? haha me and the DH! no lie! we had tossed a couple of places up in the air for dinner and one is a place that we go to pretty frequently (that is when on the island) called Nancy's. so we decide - ok - drinks and apps on the deck at Nancy's then home to walk to sushi and more drinks - just me and DH - date night... yum.
so we get there and the upstairs deck is closed to a private party. so we sit inside, i didn't like the first table so i asked to sit at a different table which just happened to be right next to the sliding glass door to the outside. well about a half hour into drinks and apps (mediterranean platter and scallops wrapped in bacon which were BOMB) we notice people walking in and out w/ lil ear peices in... next thing ya know a guy with said ear peice asks if he can wand us - like wand at the airport - uh (we were the first table he asked) - ok. so DH goes, why who's coming - the guy goes - you know who's coming. hehe so one drink and apps turned into like SIX drinks as people are slowly trickling out onto the deck. next thing ya know the street below is totally blocked off with tape and there is no one on the street. we see the guy w/ the (we assumed) bomb sniffing dogs "walking his dog" as the pup sniffed all the cars parked in the street.
so after much aniticipation he finally shows up with the entire family - michelle and the girls and everyone is clapping and he's shaking hands with all of the patrons. next to me was a 10 month old who he - gasp - picks up! haha yeah then he gives her back and shakes my hand "hi how ya doing" shakes DH's hand, then that's it, onto the deck. lol
wow what a rush that was - no joke. then we go to leave (we tipped the waitress real good considering we were there for 2 hours... along w/ everyone else who stuck around once they got wind) and there is NO ONE on the roads but the secret service - so like we are walking the half mile or so back to the car and there are crowds lining the streets, held back by tape, all businesses are closed, and we are walking through! felt pretty important! lol
needless to say we had some texting to do after that, then we went back and briefed DH's cousin and husband as we were staying with them (they rented a place for uh - a MONTH - with a guest house - YEah) - then we went out (slightly wasted) and got our sushi!
great end to a fabulous weekend!
