Re: What is wrong with people?!?!

  • That story makes me so sad for her children.

  • I like her posing at the grocery store pic. Her kids look thrilled.

I guess it is a way for her to make income, in a freak show kinda way. As long there is someone to take of her kids when she dies, whatever.

  • Oh my dear lord.

Her children look so depressed, especially the older one.

I hate it say it, but its people like that, that give bigger girls (myself included) a bad rep. Everyone assumes we eat nothing but large amts of crap.  I do not understand how she can feel better as she gains weight. It is physically exausting to carry around extra weight.

  • Belief is a beautiful armor, eh?  Perception is reality.

I love how she says she takes her BP and checks her pulse-ox each day.  Wow, ay to keep tabs on your overall picture of health.

The dog on the couch in that pic looks like he really wants to get off the couch.

  • This seems to be a mental health issue to me.

I am trying to imagine what her logic is, and the only thing I can come up with is it feels so insurmountable to lose weight once you've gained a lot.  It is so hard to have self control and make healthy choices when you've made bad eating/takeout/fastfood a habit and lifestyle, and to get up off the couch and exercise once you get so heavy it hurts your feet to walk.

I personally feel out of control sometimes, and when I feel like I don't have self control anymore I want to quit.  And then I emotionally eat and it turns into a vicious cycle of getting bigger and bigger.

But for this woman, she can flip it.  She can not only control what she is eating but it's something she can work toward.  It's a goal the same as losing weight, but in the case, it's gaining.  She is totally in denial that she can remain healthy and be 1 ton, but in her case it is easier for her to eat 20,000 calories a day than to eat 2,000.  So she can control the process, set goals, and know she is doing everything she can to achieve them.

The fact that it will likely kill her and leave her kids motherless before they are adults is where I think the mental illness comes in.  It's like a warped sence of narcissism and it's definitely not putting their interests ahead of her own.

    It's very sad. :(

  • I wonder if she has help at home. There's no way she can clean herself properly. At least she has made arrangements for the kids. Not that it will be an issue - I mean, she DOES check her blood pressure once a week. Hmm

I didn't know a stone was a unit of measure. I think I'm going to start weighing myself in stones.

  • "Why shouldn't I push the limits and see how fat I can get and stay healthy?" I don't see anything healthy about what she's doing. Those poor kids.
