question
1. are you doing public, private, or charter? and why?
2. If charter or private, did you or will you choose a school close to work or close to home?
thanks!

Private, at least through middle and then we will evaluate their education needs again. The HS at the private school we have chosen is very small (20 kids/class) and might not work for them when they get older.
We have great public elementary schools in our neighborhood, plus school lottery in HISD, but we have issues with certain parts of the public education system period and as long as we can afford private to avoid those, we will.
School location was not as much a priority as the overall school.

public......unless the demographics totally change..which i don't think they will...(meaning so long as i feel my kids will be safe).....i know the teachers in the area schools...and i know they are great!......
i want my kids to be the best that they can be wherever they are....and at this point i don't see curriculum wise/teacher quality to be any better in private or charter...
i want teachers who are up to date with current curriculum/have the ability to work with a diverse group of students...(i think the private schools in my area lack this)...i also want teachers with resources available to them (i think charter schools in my area lack this)
