We had our growth ultrasound yesterday and she weighs 7 pounds 4 oz and she is measuring ahead. Doctor does not seem concerned about the weight because he said they could be off a little and in 3 weeks we will do another one.
The ultrasound lady said she has dropped into position and hopefully will stay that way. I can tell she dropped because I am having a lot more pressure down there and have been having what might be contractions, but I am not sure, and they are not consistent. Reading our childbirth book I think it is the lightening thing they are talking about.
We have 5 more weeks but I have a feeling that we are not going to go 5 weeks, but we could, but I have a feeling that we won't make it, but who knows I could totally be wrong since I never had a kid before and I have no clue.
I feel like though that we should get things done soon and my goal has always been September 1, so I guess we need to make sure we stick to that date.
There are a few things we need to get and our next shower is September 10th, but I think we will be okay to hold off on a few things and if need be I can give George a list and have him go get a few things that we might need if she decides to show up before September 10 ![]()
Crazy to think that she will be here in 5 weeks (or earlier).

The 'lightening' freaking sucks, quite uncomfortable!
I know for everyone it is different but for me the 'real' contractions started as what felt like really bad menstrual cramps. I had Braxton-Hicks contractions randomly throughout my third trimester but the real contractions definitely felt different...even the first few very mild ones.
I think where you're at is about where the measurements get very squishy so I wouldn't read too much into them. I measured a week ahead for nearly all of my pregnancy and really didn't think I'd make it, especially since my Mom had my brother 6 days early (I was induced early so my brother is the only family history we have to go on) but Ellie was born 1 day after my due date. I didn't have any of the weight ultrasounds done, but I've heard both that they can be spot on or they can be way off. Either way, I wouldn't worry too much yet, Peyton will come when she is ready
Kelli-- you are right in that she will come when she us ready
