Help! I have to entertain DH's buddy for the day.
DH has invited his 33 y/o, single, rental-car-less buddy to Houston for a weekend in late September and has just informed me that he'll have to work on Saturday. That leaves his car-less friend in my care for Saturday until DH can get home from work (around 6:30 PM). What am I supposed to do for a day with a dude?
To be clear, we both hung out with him all the time when we lived in Michigan, but it's been 4 years since I spent time with him on a regular basis, and he's really DH's FRIEND, and I tagged along. I'm not freaked out about being alone with him, but I have no idea what he will enjoy.
I spoke with him today, and he was like, "it's ok, just walking around Houston will be cool." I tried to explain to him that we live in the Spring/Klein/Vintage Park area burbs, not "Houston." He doesn't get it. A walk around our neighborhood would be good for checking out minivans in driveways, and that's about all. Not cool at all.
Ugh...what do I do with him?
