Inspired by Jennrs' FB post

Link to the most expensive house for sale in your area.

Mine is this.  It's 19 million for 30,000 square feet.  It includes ten bedrooms, thirteen full baths, five half baths, four kitchens, a personal hair salon, six-car garage, elevator, steam room, a movie theater complete with lighted marquis and fiber optic stars in the ceiling, a fifties style diner for concessions, and a partri-idge in a pear tree.

The master suite is over twice as big as my whole house, lol!

ETA:  This place is crazy- it actually has *three* elevators, *five* kitchens, 12 fireplaces, and 21 air conditioners.  Gah!

  • Trickey - I love that house from the outside, but the inside?  Not so much.

In our school district (two towns in the district) this is the most expensive house for sale now:  http://houlihanlawrence.com/real-estate/propertydetail/3119383/Mamaroneck/1120-Greacen-Point-Rd-Mamaroneck-NY-10543

Ironically, the agent we used to buy is the selling agent on this house, haha.  Let's say she'll make a tad more on this.

Built in 1998, on the water, 6 Beds, 7/1 Bathrooms,  1.269 acres, elevator, 20+ car garage,  etc.   $13M.  Taxes per year....$118,000.

And I actually think it's pretty over the top and kind of ugly (except the location, the location is amazing)

  • Until recently, the most expensive home for sale in our area was Evermay - the mansion where we got married.  It was originally listed for $49 million, but sold for $22 million.  THey've taken the listing down, but this site still has photos up:

I'm not even sure how to otherwise find the most expensive house for sale in our area because I suspect the high end stuff isn't just listed on the MLS.  If I search within our county, I come up with this:

    image

$12.9 million for 8 BR, 14 BA, 20,000 sq ft. on 2.41 acres.  I love the kitchen:
