We're Moving!
I've been alluding to it for a few weeks now, but it looks like this time it's for real as we now have confirmation that it's a go and we've committed to the orders. We're moving to the DC area around late Nov/early Dec!! We're really excited about T getting to work in the Penatgon, and the greater potential for me to find a federal position in my field of Crime/Intelligence Analysis. Plus, this puts us closer to the NE and the family, and just a more central location overall. So, DC area nesties, I'd love some GTGs when we're finally in the area!

I'm THRILLED for you! DC is so great (and sort of halfway between your families, no?).
And you'll only be 4 hours from me. That's like nothing.
You should totally be a hockey fan post-move too. The Capitals games are crazy fun.

I'm glad you finally have orders! DC is a great area. My uncle was stationed there for a while (also worked in the Pentagon) and loved it.
As far as GTGs go, Steve and I are hoping to get to DC sometime in the next year or so... I'll definitely try to get with you when that happens!

I'm just super excited to go to a bigger city and have things to do again, and possibly find work in my field! And to FINALLY start making plans!

Congrats! D says he'll probably have to do a staff year or so at the Pentagon in the next few years... I think it sounds cool but he doesn't want to.

YES!!!!!! I'm stoked!!! I live 50 miles north of DC..but it's an easy trip in to the city! SOO all of you ladies thinking of visiting..come this spring so I can see you because we're moving out of the area next summer! haha
