Suprise Wedding

This is adorable: http://comedy.video.yahoo.com/?lid=24038709&vid=26322601

Kudos to that guy for keeping it under wraps for a whole year. That's got to be next to impossible.

Re: Suprise Wedding

  • I'm glad that it worked out for them, but I would not have been ok with this at. all.

This exactly. It was very sweet and she looked very happy, but I wouldn't have liked it.

  • That is the sweetest thing ever!  Although, I have to agree that if DH did this I would have been a little annoyed (and terribly suspicious of all his random questions).

  • That is incredibly sweet but I have two thoughts. One: how did he/they get a marriage license? Two: I wouldn't have really liked something like that because I can be sort of a control freak sometimes and a day that big, I would want to plan everything so I would know it would be as perfect as I could make it.

Interesting thought.  Also, who says she wasn't already planning her own things and purchasing stuff for the wedding?

  • At the end of the video it says that she thought they were planning a surprise for their family by having a family BBQ in September and getting secretly married the weekend before. So it sounds like there really was a wedding type event she thought she was planning for.

Still not sure how the license worked, they probably just got one afterwards.

  • Idk... My county did not ID us at ALL when we got our marriage license. I could have brought anybody. Lol

True. We didn't need ID either. I didn't need ID at the social security office either when I went to change my name.

  • That is such a sweet thing to do and the bride seemed genuinely happy about it. It wouldn't work for me b/c I am too OCD about details, but for some it is just perfect :)
