I dont like it either...when guests at weddings wear white! ugh
okay, I am not a fan of white at a wedding, but I think sometimes it is okay. However, that was a Vera Wang dress with a big bow. Since the pics were so blurry, I thought it was the bridal dress. (but the body didnt match Kim)

The guests were asked to where either white or black. I do think its strange to wear white to a wedding- so Mel B should have opted for black. As for Kris's dress- again maybe should have been a different color, but I think Kris looks amazing for her age- her bow dress isn't that bad- it's very red carpet- I could see that on Cameron Diaz walking a red carpet in that gown.
I wonder if Kim was trying to copy the royal wedding in some way, there was talk that she was trying to have the wedding of the year, and out do the royal wedding- lets not forget Pippa wore white at Kate's wedding.
You'll see everybody start to copy this all-white trend.
And another dumb strapless ballgown. Nobody has any originality left.
It kills me how much $$ they're making off of this wedding. It was like every time I turned around tabloids/other magazines had the "inside scoop" about the engagement, and then the engagement party, and then the bridal shower, and so on. I'm glad it's all over so quickly, considering they've only been engaged 2 or 3 months.
I don't like the idea of guests wearing white to the wedding, either.
White on the bridesmaids in a british/royal wedding is tradition I believe. I swear I heard that around the time of the wedding.
Sadly, Kim's wedding doesn't hold a candle to the royal wedding IMO- that was just a purely classy affair. When you marry royalty you don't need selfish promotion either.
I dunno. I have seen plenty of white formals with trains -- remember that gown Renee Z wore to the Oscars last year?
If she was wearing a veil, then Kris was dressed in bridal attire, or if she had some type of hair ornament that could very easily been mistaken for something bridal.
It is tradition. It is supposed to confuse any evil spirits into thinking that the attendants are the bride. I think that is also why they enter the room before the bride.
And to the pp who mentioned that Kris looked good for her age - that's cause she pays to look like that. I think I remember reading about her recently having surgery.
I'm glad they got married quick so we don't have to hear about it forever.

Have a look at English or European weddings -- the BMs enter after the bride does. I am not quite sure why that is.
I've also seen quite a few Filipino weddings where the mothers wear a white MOB gown.
It doesn't matter if Kris wore a white dress with a train or no train -- it's like they used to say on The Snot: unless your guest in white is wearing a veil and the dress has a huge train on it, I am pretty sure nobody will mistake her for the bride. So big deal to a mother's white dress and whether or not it had a train and looked "bridey" -- there are tons of bridal gowns with no trains, either.
These were my thoughts exactly. It looks like it was a black and white theme and if they requested it I don't see the problem.
Their wedding and attire is definitely NMS at all, but I don't necessarily think it's terrible. They're over-the-top with everything so it's no surprise to me that Kris would wear an ugly bow the size of Texas. Aside from that, I think she looks fine. At least we can see her face, I guess.
And LOL @ all the comparisons to the attire of the royal wedding saying it was so much better. I also wasn't a fan of Kate or Pippa's dresses either, lol.
The whole wedding ceremony area is white -- K&K are blending right in. The whole thing is too stark and drained of color.
I personally think Kris is a nose job away from resembling Michael Jackson.
i would have been so embarrassed if i was spotted as one of those fans, lining the street. those poor little kids! lol.

I'm so sick of hearing about this stupid wedding. And the comparisons to the Royal Wedding?! Are you kidding me?! Comparing someone who's famous for making a sex tape and then strutting her big booty around town to actual royalty is ridiculous.
And I read that Kim and Kris stand to make about $20 million from their wedding...sounds like true love.
I'm not comparing the weddings- I remember reading something back like the minute that Kim got engaged she was already saying that she wanted to upstage the royal wedding .
I agree no way you can get better then a true royal wedding- but it seems like Kim tried to, but trying to copy some of the elements of the royal wedding.
Kim cannot hold a candle to Kate Middleton- there is no comparison. Kate was class from head to toe- I can only imagine Kim bopping down the asile in some big tulle ball gown.
I'm sure that since E! covered the royal wedding and they covered Kim's wedding- they will be the ones making comparisons- good lord they are already calling the bridesmaid's dresses "Pippa like".
