  • I was out that way earlier this summer, but didn't actually go to the park -- but there's a Cracker Barrell located just down the street -- YUMMY !!!

  • One day is enough for the park.  I would get there for when they open.  You can actually get through the gates and into the park prior to 10 am - they just won't let you past a certain point towards the rides.  The park was empty in the morning so we got the kids on tons of rides (hit some of the "cooler" rides first like the cars you drive on the track since those crowd up later on).  Then when it started to get crowded later in the afternoon we left and took the kids back to the hotel for a nap and came back at dinner time to do more rides & have dinner at the park.  Again, at dinner time it was a lot less crowded so we didn't have to wait long for any ride.

You can pay a few bucks extra to park in "preferred" parking which is closer to the entrance.  We though it was worth it.  I think it was only an additional $5 and if you leave & come back you don't have to pay again - you just show your pass.  Parking is good for the entire day you're there.

They have a few shows throughout the park.  One of them is a Thomas & Friends show.  It gets REALLY crowded, so if you plan on going to that one get there early.  We saw one of the diving shows and it was really cute.  The kids loved it.

We didn't do the water park portion of the park since neither A nor my nephew cared much about the water part.  We focused on the rides.  The water part though isn't that big so if you did that area it still would only take you a day to do the park.

As for other things to do, the Strausburg Railway is neat.  They had the Day out with Thomas going on there when we went, but ordinarialy they have lots of steam trains out to loook at and you can buy tickets to take 45 minute senic rides on them.  I think the Choo Choo Barn is across the street from the railway.

There's lots of restaurants on Lincoln Highway (Rt 30), which is the main road going through Lancaster (well, really Ronks where you are).  Where we stayed had a really good breakfast buffet (Hershey Farm Inn) and there was always a huge dinner crowd there even though we never had dinner there.  We were going to eat at Diener's Restaurant on Rt 30, which is supposed to be a really good traditional PA dutch restaurant, but we missed it bc they close early (owned by menonites).
