Well, I got a tour of Labor & Delivery tonight! At my 36 week appt, the little one's heart rate was super fast and she wasn't showing signs of resting so they sent me over to the hospital for monitoring. I was strapped up to the monitors and her heart rate was in the 170s/180s. I mentioned that I was hungry and they ordered me dinner. Dan started joking about the fact that she might take after me (I turn into a raging biatch when hungry) and this will be the test. Well, I took a bite of food and she seemed to settle and by the time I finished, she was within acceptable range for discharge... so it looks like she's going to be a cranky baby when she's hungry 
! My mother did an evil laugh when I told her-- she said "karma is a b!tch!".
I had been meaning to check out the L&D unit anyway-- it's pretty nice over there!

LOL. I have a very cranky girl and a very cranky husband when they are hungry, too! On the cruise, Mariela was flipping out one day when she woke up from her nap and she never wakes up cranky. We finally offered her some puffs and the kid inhaled them. She was just super hungry! Off to the buffet we went, but OMG was she a raging mess.
I'm glad the meal helped and your DD is calmer now.
I get super cranky too when I'm hungry...and so does my daughter! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Lucy also turns into a grump if she is hungry but sometimes she'll be playing so she won't TELL me she is hungry and all of the sudden I don't know where my nice kid went and she'll be all sorts of grumpy.
Maybe we all just need some chocolate?
Chocolate solves everything. Magda was texting me from L&D and I was freaking out b/c we were out with friends and I have NO idea how to post from my phone and I am supposed to be her labor buddy!!!
Magda, tell that baby not to come out unless I'm near a computer.
Also, I don't know how to post from my iPad. I need to try this stuff out :-)
