So I'm not quite sure if I'm in the right place for this question or not. I'm making a bunch of cupcake for a craft fair and I've got to figure out some way to transport them. I don't make cupcake very often so I really don't want to shell out the money for a cupcake carrier. Anybody have any ideas?
Re: Right place?
I was recently at a gourmet cupcake shop and they used these to store the cupcakes that were in waiting to be put out in the display.
I know Michael's has them on sale for like 5.00 right now. Plus they are stackable and can easily be used for other things when not transporting cupcakes. They held probably 16 cupcakes

If you have enough cupcake pans, you could just sit them down in a shallow box.
Cupcake carriers can get expensive. A couple of years ago I got mine on end-of-summer clearance at WalMart for $3. They're regular cupcake pans that come w/ a locking lid w/ handles.
