GRE question

For those who have taking the GRE I am wondering what your experience was like when you took it. I am a few years out of college which is fine but I am wondering where to start as far as my studying. I want to try and strategize and be as well prepared as possible. I plan to take them towards the end of November or early December to give myself lots of time. Any tips would be great. Thanks!

Re: GRE question

  • I am more of an English person than a math person so I knew I would have to spend more time doing those types of drills.  I basically spent a few Saturdays at Barnes and Noble doing GRE work from the study guides.  Make sure you look over one that has an extensive vocabulary list and make note of any words you don't know. I don't remember what brand it was, but I flipped through a small, flash-card type book, and copied all those words down and every single word from the study guide was on my test! So as long as you can take a practice test from those books, you will know what you need to study. HTH
