Who has read the millenium trilogy series?

Were you able to get through the third book? I am super struggling and have picked it up three or four times. Ahoild I stick it out or just scrap it? I loved the first one. Second was ok. But this one is killing me. It's seems so boring. And confusing. Keep reading? Or forget it?

Re: Who has read the millenium trilogy series?

  • I just finished the 3rd book in June. It was a huge struggle for me - I feel like his books follow a formula where he sets up all of the background at the beginning and then the end has all of the action (and typically a false climax). I did end up feeling like the 3rd book was worth reading, but it was, in my opinion, the worst of the 3, and I only liked it because this book goes the deepest into Lizbeth's back story. When I finished it, I felt like I accomplished something - which is not really a good recommendation for a book :) Good luck - you can do it!
  • I had to go back and look at my Goodreads review to remember the book...this is how I reviewed it back in February:

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest was my least favorite of the three books. It took me over 250 pages to get into. The first half of the book was filled with tons of details on the secret government and talked about so many characters it was hard to keep them straight. But about halfway through the book it picked up. Definitely a good read, just really hard to get started.

  • The third was my favorite and I had no issue getting into it.  However, one of my good friends has really been struggling with it.  I say stick with it!

  • Definitely stick with it.  It's a tough read at times because of all of the names and tiny details, but it definitely picks up.

Plus, it's just so nice to say you finished the series!
