TMI: It didn't really hurt when I pooped this morning, but there was lots of blood. Like from my butt hole, not the other one.

ETA: Do I go to the Dr., or just suck it up?

I would maybe give it a few days and see if it goes away on it's own. You can try the Tucks pads and some prep H. I totally feel your pain. Mine are bad!

Yep, they definitely bleed. It's hard to tell where it's coming from. Maybe they're internal too? Tucks pads are awesome. I never used prep H too but have heard it works.

It could also be something called anal fissures, and basically you are tearing your wall when you poo. Chris had bleeding from pooping/in poop and he thought it was internal hemi's, so he went to get a colonoscopy and he didn't have any hemi's just these anal fissures. They told him to make sure he gets a fiber supplement everyday.

Yes. If it's bright red that is what it is. Dark blood means it was old and have traveled along with the poop. My mom died very young of colon cancer so I've always been worried about it and check it everytime I go. I've had two colonoscopies and a sigmoidoscopy. If it continues maybe call the doctor.

It is bright red, so that most likely means it's not coming from the colon, right?

Did they put him on any meds, or was it just increased fiber? I thought I did a good job with Fiber/protein, but I guess I'll have to do better. The other gross part of the story is my poop is not very solid...so I'm not sure why it's bleeding!

That happens to me sometimes if I have a particularly large poo. In fact, it happened the other day and scared the sh!t out of me because I was thought I was bleeding and losing the baby. I've never really done anything to help it, it's just better the next time.

Yes rhoids can bleed. They can be internal or external or both. If they are external Tucks wipes with witch hazel are great. I found Prep H works better though. I use a combination of the 2 during the day (usually prep H in the morning when I get out of the shower and before bed, and Tucks when I'm home and think of it after I go the bathroom regardless of if I pee or poop). Prep H ointment comes with a little applicator to apply to internal ones, if you need to.

Yes, bright red means it is coming right before the poop comes out. If there is blood, bright is better than dark red
