We're just a few days away from closing. I can't help but still worry though. I'm trying not to, but it's starting to feel like everyone's unresponsive. Our loan officer stopped responding to emails right away, now we're lucky to get a response within 24 hours. Our real estate agent isn't any better. The underwriter is still asking for information and then taking 12+ hours to let me know that what I sent wasn't enough when I responded within minutes of her email.
I'm getting a little nervous that they are all less responsive now than ever before. We also drove by the house yesterday and the owners are still in the process of moving out. I'm just really hoping everything comes together by Friday! This weekend we're supposed to be moving and our apartment keys need to be handed in a week from this Wednesday.
I'm getting really nervous, but I can't wait for the nervousness to turn into excitement. I'm guessing that will be some time Friday after closing

I had been having an issue with getting my wonderful real estate agent to respond pronto the last few months. She really is the best that I could ask for, and I got spoiled in the beginning because I never went more than 30 min without a response of some sort. Now it may be until the next day.
This is coming to the end of the busy season (think of it as black friday for real estate) for them. I was talking to her and she had 7 closings to prepare for over 3 days. That means 7 final walk throughs, 7 sets of paperwork, 7 actual closings. Not to mention she has two children that are 2 and 3 that need their mommy too, plus all of her clients that are like me and are building, or haven't found their house yet.
Once I actually realized that she was doing a lot, I didn't mind at all. We now have our settlement date and time, so there is a light at the end of this tunnel!
