Oh what a weekend.
We didn't end up leaving for camping until early Saturday morning as Derek didn't get home until 12:30 Friday night. So, up we drove, 3 hours to get there and what does it start doing as soon as we arrive? Yup, rain! It rained most of the day, but did clear up for a few hours. It was miserable, and we missed the dry period for setting up the tent, so we decided just to drive home that night. Fun? 6 hours of driving for 12 hours of hanging out in the rain.
Sunday we slept in (so very needed) and then headed into Toronto to finish up the floor at my step-sister's house. Of course, just after Derek got started a freak storm blew in and the power went out. We waited a bit and then went out to get a generator. Which is a good thing, because the power was still out at 8:30 pm when Derek had finished. He's still got to go back 1 day to finish up something, but the floor is all done and it looks great!
How was everyone else's weekend?
Re: Good Morning!
We also had a pretty busy weekend with my parents, and I am exhausted this morning. I don't think they've totally adjusted to the time here, and so we end up staying up late with them.
Saturday we went out for a walk around one of the parks. We also got caught in a heavy rainfall (seems to be a common theme, raynes). Luckily, we managed to find shelter at a local pub :-) After a few hours, the rain cleared and we managed to get a (very long) walk in around the park.
Sunday we did some more touristy things. We went for a walk along the bank of the Thames, where they have a bunch of buskers and food stands out. We also went to one of the war museums, where my dad had a blast looking at all the old war tanks, guns, and planes. In the evening, we sent my parents to see The Jersey Boys, while DH and I went to see Richard III with Kevin Spacey. While we didn't quite follow everything that was going on (my Shakespeare comprehension is fairly bad), Kevin Spacey was amazing and the show was great.
So back at work today, and then heading out to do a Jack the Ripper walking tour tonight. The weather is great so it should be a lot of fun!

My weekend was good.
Friday night's shift at Shoppers was pretty low key, so easy money.
Saturday I got in my long run (8.6miles) and then went to a bbq at my Dad's gf house. It was pretty fun. I got to play with my niece and nephew which is always a blast.
Yesterday was pretty low. Went to the gym but I was so exhausted I ended up on the elliptical, then the bike and finally walking on the treadmill. Had a few people over to check out the new house and just was pretty lazy in general.
Today I'm hoping to get out for a run and do a little furniture shopping. I have a massage appointment later today which is MUCH needed since the knots at the base of my skull are huge and causing me pretty horrible headaches. Hopefully she can work those out and get me some relief.
Have a good day!
My weekend was good. Friday evening my BFF came down and we cleaned out my entryway--now it looks amazing! Then we went out for dinner/drinks and then watched a chick flick and went to bed.
Saturday we went down to Boston to see our other two best friends. Basically we ate and drank. We went out for lunch, then hung out for a bit/did a little shopping, then went out for drinks and dinner and then more drinks. We did go for a nice walk on Sunday morning and then came home. Ed is still out of town (he'll be home this afternoon) so I had a boring night to myself last night and went to bed early.
Today is just a short run, grocery shopping (maybe), and catching up after not seeing Ed all weekend.

We had a really good weekend.
Friday night was low key and Jordan and DH shot some fireworks we had from July 4th and burnt some limbs. Me and my sister sat inside and watched Arthur. I love that movie so funny.
Saturday we had 2 birthday parties and went and got most everythign for Preston's birthday party.
Sunday I went and visited a friend that just had a baby 2 weeks ago and we went to have lunch with eli's family.
Good morning! I'm still playing catch up on everything that happened here while I was gone. raynes, I'd like to send a big congrats to you!
We had a nice, relaxing vacation. We went with most of Kyle's family (which includes his aunt/uncle, cousins, etc). We didn't do anything too crazy. We spend a good part of the trip hanging out at the pool. I also got in a bit of shopping. We did have some crazy weather while we were there. Most of the bad stuff hit during the evenings. When we'd wake up in the morning we would have to track down our beach towels or anything else that we left out drying on the balcony because the wind from the storms blew them away during the night (by the end of the trip we got smart and brought everything in the room at night). Our 2nd night there the storm winds were so strong that the tore the roof off of three of the rooms at the hotel that we were staying at. They also collapsed a building next door. The drive back yesterday wasn't much fun, but we got home at a decent time so I was able to catch up on most of the laundry.
Today I'm back at work and the students are back in class. Nothing says welcome back quite like a campus full of students. Ugh!
Morning ladies!
Raynes I saw the pic that you posted on FB! Crazy rain!
My weekend was ok, would have been better if DH did work, but oh well. Saturday I finally went and bought a new camera. I am so in love with it! So of course the boys and I played Saturday and I took some pictures to start getting used to it. (it is the Canon Rebel T3). I love the feel of it and it is so easy to use.
Sunday I took the boys to a birthday party. It was fun, but I managed to throw my back out somehow, and then to top it off, the storm that came through lastnight, blew one of our cable boxes out.
Well back to the grind, have a great day ladies.

Good morning! I am having a hard time getting into gear today--I just can't wake up today. When the alarm went off, I was wishing for a few more hours of sleep.
Weekend was good--nothing too out of the ordinary, but we did get to relax and catch up on some errands and chores. Today I just need to get through work and then it's book club time. The book we read was awful--I'm going to try to be as gentle as possible when I discuss it. :P
Have a great one, all.
My weekend was pretty good. We got up Saturday morning and went to the farmer's market. Saturday night we went out for a great dinner, which I reviewed in my blog.
Sunday was church, then errands and a nap. Instead of dinner at SIL's, we all went out for Mexican, so I have leftovers for lunch today. I fell asleep on the couch at about 9:00 while my sweet husband did all the laundry. I work up when the news went off and went to bed, but I woke up about three times in the middle of the night with an appalling headache. I finally got up at 4:30, found some Tylenol (which really doesn't do anything for me) and got back to sleep around 5:00. Needless to say, I am dragging this morning.
I went in for my beta this morning. I'm pretty sure it's a BFN (I tested at 13 dpo) but I was surprised once before. I did some serious number crunching over the weekend and I don't see any possible way for us to afford to do IVF, unless we try just one shot and risk losing all the money we put into it (~$15,000). I don't think Jim will go for it, so it doesn't look good for us.

Good morning everyone. Susi, I hear you about just not being into Monday. I definitely hit snooze a few times on the alarm this morning, and honestly, I could curl up and go back to sleep quite easily if I didn't have so much to do at work.
The weekend was good but crazy busy. Friday, we went to see Lord of the Rings at Ravinia, they had a large movie screen and the orchestra and choir doing all the music live. Unfortunately, it was kinda boring, and my friends picked awful seats, so we could only see half the screen. We ended up grabbing an early train home.
Saturday, I ran a bunch of errands and did some shopping with my mom, and then went to dinner with my grandpa. Afterwards, I met B and a bunch of friends at a new bar in our neighborhood. The bar had great drinks but a total identity crisis--it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a sports bar or a club, and for some reason it was completely filled with bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Yesterday, B and I went to pick out paint colors for the bathrooms, took care of some stuff around the house, and then met FIL, SIL, BIL and our nephews for dinner. Once again, I was reminded just how much I do not like SIL's parenting, and how I hate that whenever we see her, she passes responsibility for her kids onto someone else. There's nothing like eating dinner next to a screaming 2 year old because his mother is too lazy to sit next to him during dinner. I just can't wait until B and I have kids and I can do the same thing to SIL. Ok, vent over.
Have a great day ladies.
:::Hugs Reba::: I'm praying for you and Jim.
Good morning!
My weekend was very productive! Saturday I went to Ikea for the first time ever. It's definitely an experience. I didn't buy very many things, I think I was a bit overwhelmed by how many people where there, so I think I'll try to go back on a week day.
Sunday I cleaned the whole house top to bottom, did laundry, went grocery shopping, and made 4 loafs of blueberry zucchini bread.
The painters also started painting the exterior of our house this weekend, it's looking really good! The only bad part is the sealed all of our windows up with plastic yesterday so it was super hot and made it extremely miserable to try to sleep.
Good morning, ladies.
I've been MIA because we're in California for my Brother's wedding. It was last night, and was probably the most fun wedding I've ever attended. New SIL's family is fantastic, and we had the best time. DH was a GM, and I did a reading. We even danced - first time in public. SIL's coworkers did a flash mob dance routine that was so fun. They had awesome food, a dessert buffet, a candy bar, and a martini luge. I can't wait to see the pics.
This morning we're doing brunch, then we're off to Vegas to tag along on their HM. Cirque de Soleil tomorrow night!
And, today is my daughter's first day of college. She's in class right now!
Have a great day, everyone!
Good morning!
We had a great weekend! Yesterday we had some friends over. It was our first hosted get together since D. One of the guys is a music director for the Canadian Tenors and it was really cool to hear all of his stories about going on tour with them.

Good morning. We had a nice weekend. On Friday, I played softball for the first time since before I was pregnant. I actually played well but while playing catch before the game, I lost the ball in the sun and stopped it with my wrist. It's bruised and tender but nothing serious. Also, we won the game.
On Saturday we did major cleaning at home. In the afternoon we went to DH's cousins housewarming party. We left a bit early so we could put Olivia to bed, catch up on True Blood and just be alone together.
Sunday we visited with the IL's for a bit. In the afternoon my friends came over for food and drinks. I had such a great time catching up and hanging out with them.
Today I'm leaving work a bit early so I can participate in a live draft for Fantasy Football with some ladies from another board. DH will be responsible for dinner tonight. Have a great day ladies.
This weekend was pretty lovely. DH got home late Friday night so we spent the whole weekend enjoying one another and being back together. It was really nice.
DH didn't know what to get me when he was away at Camp with the Teen's he mentors and almost bought me a onesie, but didn't like the graphic on it. The thought was cute though. He is really starting to warm up to the idea of TTC and I am no longer worried about him pushing back the date, if anything I could see him pushing it up.
Don't have much planned for this week, we are having a small dinner gtg with some friends but besides that and planning for next weeks vaca we really have nothing on the go.
