mommy question

Hi ladies! :) I hope everyone had a great weekend :) So I have a question for you moms. When your little ones were super little or even later did anyone have babies that spit up ALL the time. Every time we feed her she spits up a lot. Some times its white and other times its yellow. Anyone else experience this? Thanks so much! We go to the pediatricians tomorrow so I'm going to ask but I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this.

Re: mommy question

  • Yes, it's totally normal for them to spit up constantly. You don't need to worry about reflux issues unless they always seem like they are in pain, crying, and uncomfortable.

  • How much are you feeding before you burp? Maybe you need to try feeding a little less and then burp.

  • Kevin spit up a lot when he was smaller. We had to burp him every 2oz, but now we don't have to do that anymore. I was told that what looks like a lot of spit up isn't necessarily a lot of spit up. Definitely talk to the pedi. Kevin has reflux and the Zantac diminishes a lot of his spit up but not every baby needs that. Good luck!

  • Baby H spit up all the time.  It's not a concern unless your LO is losing weight.  However, he didn't stop despite weight gain.  Tell your doctor.  He might tell you to try giving up dairy for a week.  Baby H not only had acid reflux (he's on medicine for it) but he also gets sick when I eat cheese.  Keep track of your eating habits! :) Good luck.
