Moving boxes

Anyone know a good place to get moving boxes? Either for free or super cheap. Or if anyone has any lying around. Thanks! I'm in MLT so somewhere close would be nice.

Re: Moving boxes

  • Costco has moving box kits. They come with everything you need farily cheap. I usually hit up the grocery store's produce department and get my moving boxes that way. Call them up in the morning and ask them to set aside boxes for you.
  • you can always find em for free on craigslist, but they go quick so you gotta reply as soon as its posted. But there are always a few posts.
  • do you know anybody that works retail? when i worked retail, we used to set boxes aside all the time for people that asked.

  • Usually you can get free boxes at liquor stores. As long as you're ok with packing your stuff in a box that says malibu rum on the side. Smile

  • Have you tried your local liquor store? We used to ALWAYS get moving boxes there. Also, try your grocery store produce department. They usually have a few in the back they can give you (just ask for ones with lids or that can close easily). And of course, these are the free ways we get boxes. LOL If you need specific sizes or anything, most office supply stores will have them, or Costco, or UHaul places or packing/shipping stores.

  • Thanks ya'll. Yeah I'll check the liquor store. They never have lids though, which can be annoying. I'm going to drive along back and look in the receycle bins of Old Navy, Best Buy, and Barnes and Noble...is that illegal...Huh? I got some good boxes back there last time I moved.
