Re: Mums Bumps and BBTs
Afternoon!
Ups: She STTN last night! 9-6 then back down until 7:30!! I started my new Mum fitness class today!
Downs: It's so darn hot that she can't nap in her PNP (she turns into a sweaty mess) and end up having to stay with her so she can nap, she's not wanting to nap without me
QOTW: I wanted to just get back into running. Turns out I can't run until 6 months earliest pp! So I'm doing a mum's fitness class to strengthen my core in preparation for more work and I've been walking about once a day (if it's not too hot!)
Hi!
Ups: Georgia took some steps this weekend! She is standing on her own, pulling up on everything, and just so excited to walk (as are we!). Probably one of the funnest things is that she pants like a dog everytime we see one. She even knows our dog's name (it lives with our ILs back in the States) and we mentioned the name today at lunch and she started panting like a dog! I didn't even know she was listening... haha... smart girl!
Downs: on the flip side, she doesn't know how to sit down yet. This makes for long naptime/bedtime battles. She stands up and cries and cries because she can't get down (and isn't much of a crier, usually). If I sit her down, she cries harder because she wants to stand up. It has been taking her on average 1 hour to fall asleep for naps and bedtime. We're on day 3 or 4 of this.....
QOTD: What exercise program did/ will you follow to get back to your pree baby body?
um... exercise? haha! We walk everywhere (no car)... does that count? Also I carry the baby around and do lots of dishes and laundry. Lots of physical work in both of those!
Ups: I'm in the states and my baby shower was this past weekend and we received so many nice things. The baby is moving like crazy!
Downs: Feeling a bit large and worried that I'm going to pack on the pounds while I'm here.
QOTD: Hopefully running, field hockey, pilates, and hiking. I've been doing pilates and walking now.
Still think it's surreal to be on this list.
Ups: It's been exciting telling our (immediate) family and looking at posts on the bump, although I'm way to frightened to post there.
Downs: Sooooooo tired. It's ridiculous.
QODT: I'm hoping to keep up on the jogging. I'm finding it pretty impossible right now, just ridiculously tired, but I'm going to the gym tonight and hopefully that will be a bit easier than jogging outside.
BFP Apr 2012, EDD Dec 19 2012 * twin h/b at 6wk, 9wk scan * Baby A lost at 12wks, Baby B was my rainbow born at 36wks
I'm so happy you are here Pitt! Fingers crossed for a little healthy happy Pitt Baby!
Ups: My little boy is going to be a tae kwan do superstar. DH felt a little kick for the first time a couple nights ago.
Downs: None really, besides the usual pregnancy downs--after this mess with my mother/brother I really could use a stiff drink. But I feel fantastic and can't wait to meet the little guy.
QOTW: I cannot wait to get back in the gym! I found a couple baby and me pilates classes in Atlanta and a child-friendly gym (babysitting) already. That will be a glorious day to get back to the gym on a regular basis.
QOTW:
My Israel Blog!
Pitt, so exciting! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!!!!
Ups: Had my a/s on Friday. Confirmed that we're having a very wiggly, little boy, who loves squishing as much of his hand into his mouth as possible. It was so cute! But it was really best to see that he is developing healthily.
Downs: I am so jealous of everyone who is feeling kicks on the outside. My doctor tried to calm me down by explaining that he is very active and anglie, but sometimes, women don't feel the baby until 25 weeks. That is another month! Grrr! That and DH and I can't settle on a name.
QOTW: I wasn't much of an exerciser before the pregnancy, but like to take walks. I have such an odd situation anyway with my arthritis. I am thinking of swimming, which I could do now as well.
Things are good here. Today has been trying (lots of sending Bruce to his room becuase he has not stopped crying since he woke up) and lots of Evelyn following my around crying becuase I won't pick her up or give her more food or let her play with electrical sockets... but generally speaking things are good. Both kids are healthy (Evelyn's hips checked out ok at her check up with the orthopedist so very good news there) and happy and generally there isn't much to complain about.
QOTW: Ummm if breastfeeding and walking everywhere because that was the most practical way to get around the town we lived in count as an exercise program that is what I did with Bruce. I didn't even do the walking much with Evelyn but breastfeeding helped me drop the 70 lbs I gained when I was pg with her. Now its really just about getting in shape, but I'm not sure how to do that without losing more weight and I really don't want to lose more weight. So we'll see. I am thinking about doing C25K once Bruce is back in school and I can do it with just E, but I'd need to get a single jogger or join a gym with babysitting....
Hello! Welcome, Pitt!
Chelbel, you'll have to fill us in on the baby shower. I'm glad it went well.
Ups: I've been feeling the baby move here and there. It's mainly flutters, but every once in a blue moon I feel a sturdy kick. Nothing H can feel on the outside yet, and definitely nothing regular. But I love it.
Also, my yoga instructor is setting up some antenatal classes for me at a special time since the normal times don't work with my work schedule. She is awesome.
Downs: I'm so tired all the time. I'm definitely not at 100% capacity at work. I hope I'm hiding it well!
QOTW: I don't know yet. I generally have to walk a lot day to day, so hopefully that will continue. Baby is due in Jan, but once the weather is nicer, H and I will probably do some hiking. I'm hoping to conitnue with my yoga classes. Otherwise, just day to day stuff like amwallace said.
Good Morning!
Ups: I woke up rested this morning for the first time all week. I put LO on a routine last night and it worked all night!!! She didn't get upset once. Sleep, undress and diaper change to wake her up, then BF on side one, burp, dress and swaddle, then dessert BF on side two, burp and place back in bed, sleep for two hours and repeat. I think I did this four or five times throughout the night. She was too perfect!
Downs: Last night was so perfect, I don't think it could ever be that great again. Hoping I'm wrong though.
QOTD: I haven't given it much thought. I've never had much of a weight problem so we will see. If I do anything (I'm pretty lazy), it will probably be Zumba.
Hello!
I remember that exhaustion Pitt - it will get better, but right now, just go with it and sleep, it's what your body needs.
Ups: W's speech is getting clearer. He's so much fun. His catchphrase of the week is 'I need to tell you something' and he places his hands onyour cheeks to get your attention. Oh, and it's not quite baby-related, but we've just bought a new-used car, and we will FINALLY have room for all 4 of us, strollers, shopping, etc. Good times.
Downs: M might have another UTI. We're off to the hospital tomorrow to check. Something is up - maybe just severe teething? (But W never teethed like this.)
QOTD: I didn't with W, despite walking everywhere. I got to within 15 I think, but then lost momentum. With M, I've got 15 to loose still as well (well I got down to 5lbs, but then gained 10!). I'm trying to go running, but it's hard to find time and I just can't face pushing a double jogging stroller. I'd like to do Zumba, but classes cost far too much money and are at awkward times... Maybe I'll get Zumba for the Wii? (If we get a Wii for Christmas...) This is a really big thing for me - I really hate my body right now - I'm 50lbs up from my wedding weight, and what I should be. But without a baby sitter, with expensive gym/class/daycare fees, it's hard to do it. Sorry - you hit a nerve this week! :P
Ups: M is talking so much and he just loves it when we kiss Daddy good bye for work. Either me or DH will be holding him and he will push our heads together so we kiss and then sticks his head in the middle so he gets a kiss on bot cheeks from us.
Downs: SPD (Symphisis pubis Dyfunction) I have it much earlier this time around and I just have to be careful and I waddle on those days it really bad like a person who is at least 35 weeks.
QOTW: Breastfeeding and walking is what did it last time. So I just need to make sure I do a bunch of walking.
This is my first post as a bump! Very exciting!
Ups: I am feeling good, but very tired. I have no energy to do anything once I get home from school so I just park myself on the couch.
Downs: Nothing really but we go for our first ultrasound next Tuesday and I am so nervous. I am just praying everything is growing as it should be. One person in my family knows, but I am waiting until after Tuesday to give them all the good news.
QOTD: I have not really thought about that yet. I guess mostly walking and hopefully going back to the gym. I don't think I will be able to play basketball anymore due to DH work schedule, but I don't really mind.
Ups: We made it to Japan, V slept most of the flight, DH is so happy to see her and vice versa.
Downs: She is jet-lagged and so am I. So far it hasn't be tooooo bad but we were up at 4am...don't know if I can do that for many days in a row.
QOTW: I walked and walked so much, with my dogs. I started running moderate amounts, but not much...maybe weekly? I do yoga when I get time. Drinking absurd amounts of water helps my mood, apetite and milk supply. Mostly I try to eat healthy as much as possible, adn get out and about every single day.
