DC nestie with Dallas to DFW rush hour question
All - lived in DFW years ago but don't want to trust my rusty (and outdated) memory.
I'm speaking in downtown Dallas (the Sheraton on North Olive) on Friday until 4:30 pm. Probably can't leave the hotel until 5:00 pm. Can I make a 6:25 flight (assuming I've already got a boarding pass and carry on only) taking a cab? There's also a 7:35 and an 8:50.
Ok, as I'm writing this I'm realizing the 6:25 is a long shot. I should be ok with a 7:35, right? Anyone know what cab fare to the airport would run during rush hour?

7:35 for sure. You have to give yourself time to get through security too.

I think cab fare is around $50. My friend took a cab from FW to Arlington and it was about that much and around the same distance you are going.
You should be ok on time, but depending on what day your leaving security can be a nightmare. There are a lot of business travelers at that time.

One last question - does DFW have premier screening lines? If it matters, I'm flying American.
I think cab fares depend on the miles? I don't think it would be expensive if it was a short distance...but I could be completely wrong. :-(
