Costco has christmas stuff out.....
So far only toys but I gather within the next few weeks they'll have the whole 9 yards. SO now I have to listen to Kira tell me how she has to have every toy in the store

Am I just getting more and more prone to Get Off My Lawn syndrome, or is this really happening earlier and earlier every year?
I mean seriously...they used to wait until at least close to halloween, right? Or at least after labor day? WTF.

WHYYYYY is this necessary?! Good grief, I was just getting all excited for fall. I don't need Christmas yet, b/c it will be here soon enough (and quite frankly, I'm dragging my feet on Christmas this year b/c that means I'll only be a month away from having 2u2, which I haven't quite reconciled w/ yet).

the effect of this earlier and earlier ramming Christmas down my throat is that I actually want to buy less and the over-commercialization becomes sooo blatant.
Andplusalso, I think I've read that statistically most people do most of their shopping in the weeks right before Christmas.
(I am trying to plan ahead for once this year, and get my shopping done mostly before Thanksgiving, but we shall see if that works or not)
What it's perfect timing! My MIL has been asking us for at least 2 months already what we plan on doing for the holidays- wait- that's not normal?
