I had my first weekly OB appt this morning: (almost) 36 weeks!!
I thought I had gotten better at peeing in the tiny cup, but no. I hardly got anything in it. It has a 2" diameter! Whose idea was it to have pregnant women try to pee in these things? If there's no funnel, the cup should be more the size of a large tub of popcorn.
Anyway...I'm measuring on track at 36.5 cm.
She checked my cervix, since she was down there for the Group B Strep swab, and since I've been having a lot more contractions in the last week. I'm 2 cm, but still long, and baby's still high. With Nate, I was 1.5 around 37 or 38 weeks and stayed that way until my induction. So I'm not really worried, but she's going to keep an eye on me in case I am making progress.
Re: i need a funnel
I can't believe it's the end already...good heavens. I feel like this pregnancy flew by.
I was the same way with the whole cup thing...I hated doing that because I was not good at it. At all. :P
So if you wind up going into labor on your own, the c-section will still happen?
Glad to hear everything is going well!
Side note: About a year ago, I was with a friend, trying on dresses to wear to another friend's wedding. I tried on this dress that was a wrap dress with ruffles on the neckline. Well, my combo of D-size tatas, and the slightly too small dress made the ruffles stand straight out! It was so funny that I had to show my friend, and she said it was like "a visual funnel right to my b00bs"! So now, everytime I hear the word funnel, that's what I think about.
Yay!
I hear ya on needing a funnel! By the end you can't even reach around/under your belly, let alone see, to know where you're putting that damn_ tiny cup...
ITA!!!
We're officially on Rachel baby watch!
Peeing in the cup is definitely part art/part science. I think every pregnant woman pees on herself at least once.

I was afraid they wouldn't have anything to test! I'm going to bet I pee on my hands 3 more times because I have 3 more appts.
