DC earthquake felt in NY and NC

Apparently DC just had an earthquake. Reports are between a 5.3 and 6.2 magnitude. My colleague in Raleigh felt it for over 2 minutes. Same for friends in NY. Can't post links from iPad but it's on google if you search.

    My supervisor was in a VTC meeting with our supervisors in Vienna, VA and watched it happen. She said it looked bad.

    lol My friend lives a short drive from DC in VA. He said he was in Chipotle and people were freaking out. He calmly finished his burrito and left.

    Third Anniversary
    One of my good friends lives in in DC and she had to run out of the building she was in. She's okay, but her texts are all jumbled and are coming in multiples. I'm sure the cell towers are jammed. She did say it was very scary.

    My facebook was hilarious "OMG EARTHQUAKE" for a while.

    My mom was evacuated for a bit... unfortunately she works on the 24th floor and of course they had to take the stairs. I guess she talked to my dad who was home. She said he was "scared poopless," a description I'm sure he will be glad to know she (and I) shared. lol

    Yep, it was pretty crazy here in DC. Very surreal! Never felt anything like it, hope to never again! There are a ton of places that are closed today for inspection.
