Earthquake in Virgina

Apparently people at work in Hartford, CT a few min ago felt it (we're in a highrise and the building shook all over the place). I was at home but didnt feel it at all.

That was SCARY!!! Nothing like sitting on the third floor of your workplace and suddenly feeling the whole floor shake. My first thought was that maintaince were during something but the shaky just didn't stop... Hope everyone is okay!

Crazy!

I'm pretty close to the epicenter! My school (which was JUST built last year) shook like crazy. And afterwards, the light poles outside kept swaying for a good 3 minutes afterward!

I'm home now and had a few picture frames fall over or if they were on the wall, they were all crooked. My dog is pretty freaked out, but I'm not sure if it's from the earthquake or the things falling.

So glad everyone is OK.

I was at school (no kids yet) and on the phone with my brother. He felt it, about 50 miles from me, but I did not. In the halls and office everyone was talking about it. Some felt it, some did not!

I was at school and we evacuated our building for about an hour. We are about an hour and a half from the epicenter.

I'm originally from CA (have been in my fair share of earthquakes), but any natural disaster should shake you up a little. An earthquake can easily effect gas lines, power lines, etc. What a day! It definitely disrupted my productivity!

I was at band camp inside the gym with my kids (the school is about 50 miles form the epicenter) and we felt the shaking. We're all ok, the school is closed for the rest of the day so it can get inspected so now I get a night off! Hope everyone else is ok.

I'm in WV & my husband works in Charleston on the 12th floor in one of the tallest buildings & felt it. They all had to evacuate. I know this sounds funny but I'm kind of jealous that I didn't feel it lol.

The one this morning (1:08 AM eastern time) made my dog ready to escape. Unfortunately, she didn't warn me ahead of time.
