Everyone down south ok?

We just felt (and saw) the Virginia earthquake up here in NJ. First I've ever experienced.

Re: Everyone down south ok?

  • Tonya's updating facebook. I hope the other girls can check in.

  • I'm fine. I have NEVER been so terrified in my life! I've never experienced anything like this. Our house was literally swaying! I was shaking for about 15 mintues afterwards. Hubby is leaving work soon. I hope the other ladies are ok.

  • I'm really worried about Kim.  She, her DH and parents were flying back to NC from Texas today!  I paged her on FB so, I hope she can check in soon and is ok!

Was it down that far?  I can't pull up other pages on my computer apparently.  It's being too slow!

What time were they due to land?

I honestly don't know.  I just know they were headed back today.

I'm sure they're fine. It's highly unlikely that they were landing during the same few seconds. And not to be gruesome, but there's been no mention of plane crashes or anything.
  • True on both counts.  Plus, I don't think it was as big of an effect there as it was in VA and north.

  • ITA w Larissa. I'm sure they're fine.

In MA, MH's building was swaying in Cambridge and my sister and I were on the phone...she was like word...my house is swaying...and I was like ok...you need to eat something or drink something... and it did it again and I said hmm, maybe an earthquake? I was pacing around and thought I felt dizzy because it felt like things were moving?

What is funny, is I have had a KILLER headache today and read in some people get them before earthquakes...maybe the shift in air pressure?

I have one now, and I'm totally blaming the earthquake.

I get a headache 90% of the time before a thunderstorm due to the changing air pressure, so definitley legit! Sucks! Hope you both start feeling better!

Yup, me too. When my head is killing me, I text my friend who's got a barometer and without fail he confirms my suspicions.
