Blank infant t-shirts?

I know I haven't been on this board in quite some time! But, I am looking to buy a blank tshirt for my LO's first birthday so I can decorate it. I have found a few websites with cheap shirts like this one: http://www.rockbottomt-shirts.com/Babies/Baby-T-Shirts-Short-Sleeve-p104.html but I'm just wondering about quality/fit etc. Have any of you ladies purchased blank shirts from anywhere? TIA for any help!

Re: Blank infant t-shirts?

  • I bought white onesies from Wal-Mart the other day and they had some plain t-shirts. I'm not familiar with the website you listed, though.

  • JoAnn has blank t-shirts, too, including little kid stuff. I've never used them, so not sure on quality.

  • For DS's first birthday I got a plain blue t-shirt from wal-mart (their garanimals line).  It was surprisingly soft and good quality, and was only $3.50.  It did have a pocket, but it was easily removed and left no marks.

  • Ditto Wal-Mart's Garanimals. Old Navy and Target (the Cherokee brand) are also good. I don't think their Circo line has a lot of shirts without designs, but anything without a pocket can easily be fixed with a seam ripper and a steady hand. Washing it afterwards can take out the stitch holes.

gonna say the same thing.  But, mine did not have a pocket.  I really like them.  They have a very slight gather on the sleeve - so they don't look like a boys undershirt.

I did an applique outfit for my daughter using these shirts, and it has been washed about 30+ times.  Still soft, did not shrink, did not take a weird shape.

Plus, they come in tons of colors, not just white

  • My Target has them right now.  They don't have pockets either, which is perfect!
