well, I'm not really here during the day, but I'll come say hi in the morning. I had a very productive day yesterday in the thinking department, so that was good.

unfortunately, I was so distracted this morning thinking about work (yes, it's THAT bad and I'm THAT stressed out) that when I went to put in my contacts, I grabbed my Clear Care Solution instead of my saline solution = hydrogen peroxide IN MY EYE. OMG that hurt like a mofo. I rinsed and rinsed with saline, but it still doesn't feel too good now. I think it should be ok (no need to go to a doctor), but man. I will say that I really like the system though because I feel like it's better for cleaning contacts than using chemicals. It's totally my own stupid fault (I've been using it for over a year, so it's not like I didn't know you aren't supposed to put it in your eyes).

Hopefully I'll be productive again today!

no, my job function is efficiency... and we're currently developing an automated system, and we need to time the actual person doing it, versus if the machine were to do it--how much time it would save, how much that time is worth, and compare it to how much the machines cost, etc.. it's a lot of charts.

I know, that's the stupid part - there is red on it everywhere, I still can't believe I did that. But I won't make the same mistake twice (let's hope anyway)

I'm on a modified Amanda Plan. My thesis is going a million directions and i need more undivided attention during the day to reign it in. So my nest reduction plan is a quick visit during a morning coffee break, and some time in the evening to catch up on the day's activities.

THIS. I really can't believe that happens! Does he know you're watching him? Obviously his work ethic would be different with a supervisor on his back.. even if just a few seconds diff.. don't you think?

Either way, if they're that worried, wouldn't they just fire him instead paying you to time him? crazy!

Amanda - I'm sorry! I can't even imagine.

To humor you though - DH was so overtired from traveling and had only gotten 4 hours of sleep one night and put hair gel on his toothbrush. He realized it before he put it in his mouth, but just barely. He was extremely happy I keep replacement heads for the toothbrushes at the house.

I was stuck in court all morning. Funny story, a while back my dad got up in the middle of the night and in the dark grabbed a "water" bottle in the bathroom, opened it, drank it and swallowed it...before he realized it was a bottle of Lysol! Ick!

lol, it is weird... water maybe.. i made this mistake though in mexico, we left our food dishes inside instead of putting them out, BAAAADDDDD idea, there ants EVERYWHERE!
