Long distance moving company recs?
I'm looking to get a quote for moving from NY to FL. I have contacted Allied but want to get another estimate. What are good reputable national moving companies?

Most moving companies are franchises, so X being good in someone's town doesn't mean they'll be good in another town.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Some other national companies are United, Mayflower, then there are like PODs and PackRat; but their prices were close to having my stuff loaded and unloaded and I would have to do it myself
. We ended up having an estimate that was "binding" so no matter if our weight was over, the price wouldn't change.
Also, I personally did not get the additional damage protection and I am happy I saved the $500. Nothing was damaged.
After 31 cycles and two losses, we've been blessed with a healthy baby girl!

Within the last month I moved from WV to FL and DH and I went with Uhaul and some of our family came down for a few days to help us unload. It was the most economical for us. Also, if you wanted to do something like that but wanted a little help unloading most local movers will give you an hourly rate (some with a discount!) to use their services. And, if you need, they are available to set up things as well...
