I have a friend in VA and she said the entire school where she works shook like crazy. They are without power so they are going home to make sure things are OK there.
I have friends in NC and Atlanta also felt it although it wasn't that strong. Crazy!
According to Eric Berger's twitter it was shallow, so it was felt over a widespread area.
