Did the East Coast ladies feel that earthquake? It was centered in Virginia and reported as a 5.8. CNN is reporting that the Pentagon is being evacuated and parts of Manhattan.

Felt it here in nothern Connecticut. The blinds in my office were swinging, that's about it. My sister says she felt it all the way in Portland, Maine.
Re: Earthquake in VA
Yep a 5.9 around 100 miles from me. Not too far from Richmond.
We were all confused as everyone is worked up about the Hurricane and no one could have thought we would ever have an earthquake. There is a fault line in VA, but I've never heard of one this big.

My first earthquake experience! At work (NE Washington DC), we felt the walls and the floors shaking (I'm on the second floor of a three-story building). Most of us had never felt an earthquake before, so we were like, "WTF just happened?"
We had to stand outside for hours, they wouldn't let us back in the building until it had been checked for damage. They evacuated our students, so then we got to go home early. I had to ask a coworker to drive me home, because the commuter trains and union station were shut down at the time. eeeeeeek.
Maybe my building will have structural damage and I'll get a day off from work tomorrow. yes?
