Best thing to do in Seattle
Hi Ladies, my mom and I are coming to Seattle at the end of October (from Minnesota and Arizona) and I am looking for your recommendations on things to do and/or areas to stay. We will be there for a week and would like some good restaurants, shopping and outdoor things (hiking, walking, etc.). We haven't booked a hotel yet so we are open. Any ideas or recommendations would be really appreciated!!
Re: Best thing to do in Seattle
ditto all this - October is weird because sometimes you'll get a really nice week and then sometimes it will definitely just be rainy, so be prepared for anything. It would be good to have both indoor and outdoor options
Some off the top of my head:
Outdoor: Woodland Park Zoo, Pike Place Market, Ballard Locks (and the Ballard area)
Indoor: Aquarium, EMP/Pacific Science Center/Space Needle, Seattle Art Museum, Asian Art Museum

husky is traveling for work right now and she doesn't nest as much when she's away
. i emailed her though, so hopefully she'll post her wonderful list.
ditto amanda on the places:
a few more
outdoor: kerry park (just a look out point...15 mins tops), alki beach, waterfront area
pike place market is "outdoors", but it's covered, so it's fine to go to on a rainy day.
