Anyone living in Luxumberg?
My DH is currently looking at a position that may relocate us there from the US - he's Cypriot and spent half his life in the UK (I lived there for 4 years)...so it's not the first time we've lived/worked in Europe (both of us worked for companies that involved us doing business in other countries, but never Lux.)
Pros/Cons compared to the US and/or England?
Re: Anyone living in Luxumberg?
Luxumburg is not a real country.
Luxembourg might be, but the jury is still out.
There is an inside joke on this board about Lux, and I'm afraid your misspelling is going to get you laughed at, a lot.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Laptop-it was concluded that Luxembourg is a German city-state governed by people who speak French.

I went to Luxembourg once strictly because they have a Chi Chis. Is that helpful at all?
I'm pretty sure it isn't since Mouse's mail was crossed off and remarked Germany.
Bio
But in all seriousness, OP, (who am I kidding - I'm never serious) yes, MouseInLux lives in Luxembourg.
I went for a weekend. They make really great white wines. And yummy hot chocolate. I'm bummed I missed the ChiChi's though!
GilliC is right, not only do I live in Lux but I'm also married to a local!
Any questions please feel free to ask.
Oh god things about lux...it's small, easy to get around, easy to travel from, great food and wine. Its CLEAN, the only place cleaner is Switzerland!
I'm from the UK and (sorry ladies in the UK) would never go back there.
Drawback, English isn't an official language ( these are Lux, French and German) BUT most people speak it.
Let me know if you are coming and I'd be more than happy to help you.
FOG is super, we sadly just missed each other when we lived in London, but we did get to meet up once at the Princess Louise and then went out for Dutch pancakes while she was there on business.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Yes, yes we did! Mmmmm, Dutch pancakes.
Mouse, thank you so much - we should know more next week during his next round of interviews. It's between DH and another guy who is a Lux national...DH is currently more attractive as a US based employee due to Lux employment laws, etc. So we'll see!
(sorry for the late response - got pulled into work "stuff")
NOT HELPFUL LTD, lol
I figure this board is intelligent enough to understand what country I'm talking about, even with my spelling faux paux
she was just picking because we told the Travel board Luxembourg was a made up place.

Fields - Luxembourg is absolutely beautiful! I go a few times a year, and meet up with the Mouse (she's awesome, btw). Great wines and restaurants, beautiful country-sides, and cute cities. And yes...they do have a Chi-Chi's.
"...will it matter than my Husband only speaks Luxembourgish?"
D.Y.I.N.G.
Onesly, awesome!
Ok, I'm ready to move over. I've got two boys (2 years and 6 months) in two Mouse, get your girls prepared
I almost fell out of my chair at "Knit One, Pineapple Two". Maybe I should start lurking at Travel more.
