places to eat Mill Creek area
DH and I are wanting to try new places to eat in our North Seattle area (Mill Creek/S Everett/Snohomish/Mukilteo/Lynnwood/Bothell/Edmonds). We like hole in the wall places and typically avoid any type of restaurant chain, which of course this area is loaded with. We like all types of food and various ethnicities. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Re: places to eat Mill Creek area
this is my 'hood.....but hole in the wall? psh. non existent.
if you want some of the places i eat at:
vietnamese/pho: pho duc in lynnwood 196th and maybe 36th? it's by the convention center
thai: 24 star thai on 164th in lynnwood, lanna thai on evergreen way in everett, silverspoon (this place is new, and the service is AWESOME) in lynnwood on 196th.
chinese: don't go anywhere in snohomish county except t&t in edmonds on hwy99.
japanese: wasabi bay on mill creek blvd
american: diamond knot in mukilteo (this one is slightly hole in the wall-atmosphere, but it's pretty busy inside).
if i think of anything else, i'll let you know. or if you want a specific type of food, i'll think of a rec for you.

Preservation Kitchen in Bothell is nice. http://preservationkitchen.com/
Azuls is awesome for happy hour, its quite chic for mexican and yes the food is good!
our favorite place is right on the millcreek/everett border its called Noppakko its thai and its better than Lanna Thai IMHO. They have a Living Social deal right now that i bought 2 off. $10 for $20.
good to know about chinese. we've only tried zen garden for dim sum in Mill Creek Town Center.
I loved Diamond Knot. Small town breweries are my favorite, especially when they serve good food as well.

we've tried noppakko. DH has a favorite small Thai diner Mt Vernon that no Thai place will ever compare to in his opinion. We've also tried Thai Bistro in Mill Creek Town Center back when we were house hunting.
