Good morning!
I've decided to come out of hiding and participate in my first HDBD. I've take pictures weekly since my BFP, but they are always at home. I made a point to take one on my phone this morning. So here you go...

On a side note, I spent a couple hours in L&D yesterday evening. I have been having fairly regular contractions for the past couple days and decided to start timing them yesterday afternoon. After an hour of a contraction every 6-7 minutes, lasting about 1 minute, I called the doctor and they told me to go straight to L&D. I was monitored, and baby was fine with a strong heartbeat and lots of movement, but I was definitely contracting. They did a fetal fibronectin (sp?) test and it was negative, which means I am probably good for another two weeks. However they couldn't figure out why I was contracting about every 5 minutes by that point. They gave me a muscle relaxer, to try to stop the contractions, which didn't really help. They checked me, and I was about a fingertip dialated, 25% effaced and -1 station. No wonder I am feeling so much pelvic pressure! I don't think this little one is going to stay put until October. The good news is that she is far enough along that they wouldn't stop labor now... I just want at least a few more weeks of growth. Lesson learned: listen to your maternal instincts! I am glad I went in to get checked out!
Sorry this got so long!

Re: HDBD (and personal update)
Such a cute bump!
That is scary about the contractions starting so soon. Try and relax and hopefully they will subside and your babe can cook a little longer! Vibes for a healthy, fully cooked baby!
I'll pretty much ditto what Tara said...
You look great and hopefully your little one will stay put for just a little while longer.

I'm sorry that you're going through this! I know just how scary it can be.
In my experience, after having ended up in L&D at 33 weeks with Wyatt I continued to have ongoing contractions pretty much everyday until I delivered (2 weeks late of course). It ended up that Wyatt had wiggled himself into a knot, so every time I would lay down he would put pressure on the cord and go into distress (which had been why his heart rate went down suddenly a couple times), and then I would start having contractions, so I would get up and then in a few hours they would taper off.
Anyways, I don't want to scare you, but it is worth talking to your doctor about and maybe getting an ultrasound to look for one (although they aren't always visible) because if they do find one they probably watch you closer and all that to make sure baby is doing well
Thank you for your concern Caitlin. I have actually had monthly ultrasounds since 19 weeks, because baby's growth (she is growing consistantly, just a little on the small side). I don't know if they are able to see her cord, I know that my doctor looked at the cord insertion point to the placenta last week during our ultrasound and there was good blood flow. The nice thing about my experience yesterday was the baby had a very strong heartbeat throughout the monitoring process (and was moving a TON) and wasn't very effected through contractions (her heartrate went up slightly each time, but they said that was normal).
I will be closely monitored throughout the rest of my pregnancy because I have an accessory lobe on my placenta and the cord is split between the two lobes, so they are very aware that the baby could go into distress if she puts any pressure on the vessels split from the main part of her cord. Because of this condition, they won't let me go past my due date, so hopefully I don't have all the same concerns you did. I will never forget how scary it was for you when Wyatt was born with the knot in his cord and the partially calcified placenta.
Thank you again for your concern. I appreciate that we can share stories about how scary, but also absolutely amazing this time can be!
Thanks for the update! I hope she bakes a little longer!
Vibes for a fully cooked baby!
It's really good that they are watching you like that
I just consider myself so lucky to have Wyatt with me and it is scary to watch others have similar troubles. But by the sounds of things you are well taken care of
