I don't know if you've mentioned it lately, but how has Jeff been feeling? Better I hope.

Re: Paige

  • Ehhhhhh! He has good days and he has bad days. I do think he is doing a bit better overall but I think it is because he has found a DR who is actually listening to him and not just upping his pain meds. He has to do a couple tests for the nutritional DR and once we get those results we will have a better idea of how to proceed that way.

He is now also seeing a rhumetologist or however you spell it and she is listening to him and trying a few different meds. She had him try Lyrica for 3 weeks and he was getting funny side effects and not sleeping so she took him off of that and is actually going to be sending over a prescription for an anti-depression med (which name I'm forgetting) She has told him that she has numerous patients his age complaining of chronic pain and been on pain meds for even longer than he has who started taking this and within 6 months they are off the pain meds and then get off the anti-depressive. So he is going to try that for a few weeks.

My aunt that was just intown is a psychologist and they talked a bit and she thinks that is a good plan for now. She said that basically he needs to trick his mind into realizing the pain isn't there anymore. Hopefully it will work.

Thanks for checking on him! :)

  • I'm glad to hear that you have found a better doctor. That is important. Hopefully things continue down the right path!
