S/O: Mattress

DH and I need a new mattress so badly, we bought a topper a few months ago and it is helping a bit but it is time for something new.

DH is very interested in the Tempurpedic Cloud. Does anyone have one? or anther type of TP you can give me reviews on?

Thanks!

Re: S/O: Mattress

  • My BIL and SIL have one and hate it.  They said it gets very hot and you get stuck in one position making it difficult to move.

  • We have the Cloud Luxe.  It's very soft, and we love it!  It was pretty firm when we first got it though and talked about exchanging it for something different, but it softened up like the salesman said it would, and now it's awesome!
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!

  • We bought the tempurpedic cloud supreme (the cloud was to firm for me) and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!  I am no longer waking up tired and super sore.  I thought my foot pain was just from my heels but turns out it was the mattress because my feet no longer hurt. I am guessing my hips were not aligned right and the blood flow to my feet wasn't right. We got free pillows with the mattress and I am a firm converter to tempurpedic pillows.   WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

ETA:  I had been waking up dying of heat with our last mattress but not this one.  I can actually lay in bed in the same spot for hours watching movies and don't burn up.

  • Love it!!  I wouldnt say you get 'stuck' in a position but with a spring bed you can kind of bounce yourself into another position, with the TP you cant so it takes some getting used to.

Not sure which one we have it can get fairly warm, but not so much that I'd ever go back to to numb arms and shoulders like I got from a regular spring.

We ordered it from the website, but Relax the Back has several models on display and I think they have some rebate or something.

  • I dont have a TemperPedic Cloud, I have the original, I really liked it. It is now used in the Guest Room, we upgraded to a king and could not afford a king TP.

Pros; if you toss & turn you really dont disturb your partner. Lots of support.

Cons; its like sleeping on a heated mattress. Moving it is a PITA, its like moving 100lbs of dead weight. DH hated how much he sank while we were doing the deed. Especially his knees, they were being eaten alive by mattress. (that was his deciding factor to not invest in a king).
