Poll: What Color Front Door? (clicky)

Re: Poll: What Color Front Door? (clicky)

  • I think a nice dark cranberry-ish color would look nice. And I love your house color.

  • I voted for white because I think the white trim really pops against that blue.

But I think a bright red door would also look nice.  (Are those out of style now?)

Yea, I don't know if it's "in" or not but I wasn't feeling red.  A few people IRL have suggested it.  I don't know - just too bold, maybe?  too expected?  I don't know - just wasn't feeling it.

  • I love the idea of a yellow door to pop against the blue.... something nice & warm & inviting.  If not, egglplant would be my second choice :)
  • I'm yanking these from YHL but I love yellow doors on blue homes. I may be biased b/c your house is the color of my bedroom and I used mustardy accents :)

    Happiest place on Earth!

  • I've said it in the past, I would so rock a red door on your house....

Go with the cranberry, you'll love it! If you don't I'll come repaint it for you.

    Ha!

  • I voted for Yellow!   We painted our front door a bright blue, which DH was pretty hesitant about, and we love how it turned out!

  • I really like yellow with your color siding.  But... as for the YHL pictures, I loved their inspiration pictures, but I think that the way it turned out on their house is horrid.  :(  I think it may be tricky to pick the right shade that isn't too sunny.

  • Mrs. Jaay - thank you for posting that you found yellow pics on YHL.  I never read it but I know what it is.  I just went and found the posting and was actually most intrigued by the change in the hardware (which I have to do too).  So, I found THAT post.  I had already gotten some Metallic spray paint and it seems that's how they did it too.  So I'm psyched to have a little "how to" now!!  Thanks again!!

What the?  This is AWESOME. Thank you.  I was trying to do something similar but have no fancy graphic anything I I was just adding like big color blocks over the door and anyway, this is much better.  Thank you again!

Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore both have ways to do that on their websites.

I cranberry, eggplant, or yellow would all look awesome. Black to  match the shutters wouldn't be bad either, but it's definitely not my first choice.
