Our offer was accepted!!!
Holy moly, I'm still trying to process it, but the offer on the house we just saw last weekend was accepted yesterday. This is just completely nuts to me. So now we're waiting to get everything in writing from their lawyer, then getting the mortgage finalized, then we're off to Jersey! And the best part (while also the most worrisome with kids) is that the house has a pool in the backyard! We're trying to stall with the closing just a little bit, because our apartment hasn't sold yet, and next month is going to be pretty crazy, with weddings, birthdays, relatives visiting, and Ireland.

Pokey, neither. This has been a crazy ride. After I posted, we decided to give an offer on an entirely different house that we liked previously. When that was rejected, we wanted to give an offer on the smaller house, but it was already gone (literally, I think, the same day we saw it). This is a new house we saw last weekend. Phew!
And thank you!! I'm excited and a little freaked out!
