Re: Book

  • I just finished Babyproof by Emily Giffin this past weekend.  I haven't done much light reading in the past few years, but recently picked up some beach reads and have been working through the Emily Giffin books after seeing "Something Borrowed" a couple of months ago.

  • I can't finish anything anymore.

I was reading My Sister's Keeper, but then had a baby and never got back to it.

Then I was reading The China Study but decided I love cheese too much to ever give it up (even at the risk of cancer) and quit reading.

Now I'm reading Becoming the Parent You Want To Be, which I fully expect myself not to finish.

  • Finished Sarah's Key yesterday.  Started Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet last night.

Sarah's Key was great.  Looking forward to catching the movie at Tampa Theatre when it comes out next week.

  • Chelsea Handler's new book, hilarious!

  • I'm less than 100 pages from finishing Outlander (are you happy K8?).  After that I'm reading Rebecca by Daphne duMaurier, which my mother was named after.

  • Right now, I'm reading Water For Elephants.  So far, so good!

Before this one, I read The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire.  Both were soooo good.  Can't wait to read the last in the series... The Girl With the Hornet's Nest.

  • I'm working through The Happiness Project. I bought it at the airport for a flight and still haven't made it through the halfway mark yet. I have a terrible habit of starting books and neglecting them.

  • I've recently read:

Carrots 'n Cake, Tina Haupert .. she writes the blog carrotsncake.com  - decent book. I read it while we were out on the boat in the bahamas.

Fly Away Home, Jennifer Weiner - really enjoyed. read it in 1 day while out on the boat .

Heart of the Matter, Emily Giffin - enjoyed. read it while out on the boat.

Currently reading Flash Burnout, L.K. Madigan - YA Fiction .. it's okay. I checked it out, out of desperation. I was looking for something to read while we were in the car driving to Jupiter. this was the only thing I could find that I could d/l to my phone that looks half way interesting.

  • I just finished reading "The Help" today, and it was the best book. I bought it Sunday, and it's a 500 page book. I couldn't put it down. It opens your eyes to a lot of what happened in that time and an insight to everything. I wish it didn't end, but now I get to go see the movie.
