Re: would you get a haircut
I have been. DH keeps asking me when I'm cutting my hair off again because he likes it shorter... I've been growing it out for over a year.
I'm cutting it off while he's gone over labor day.

my deal with DH is that he better damn well love me no matter what color/cut my hair is, how much i weigh, whether i'm wearing makeup or not, have giant circus freak boobs or regular average ones... blah blah blah. if he gets all shallow on me, he's in for a world of hurt!

I cut & color my hair to my liking & my DH learns to love it. He prefers me brunette & I'm currently platinum blonde. He deals. Lol.
If you want to try something new, give it a shot. Its hair, it will grow back. You never know, he might LOVE it. Plus its less maintainance for you. ;-)
I am particular about DH's hair. I like short & clean cut. If he had his way, he'd grow it out. His hair is blond & very curly, he looks like a Q-tip when he grows it out. Knowing how much I hate his hair in a way I don't like, I would never do that to him.
Kat - I almost don't want to ask this becuase I'm afraid it will come across really rude. But aren't you afraid that you'll end up with a Little Orphan Annie do?

he's never hated a cut/color, but...
a few years ago i dyed my hair brown. i wasn't thrilled with it, but i liked it. 2 weeks later dh and i were on the phone and he was staring at a pic of me on his desk. he asked me to go back to blonde (my natural color).
last summer i chopped off 9" (donated it). the next day he asked if i was going to keep it or grow it back. when i asked why he said that it was "mom hair" and that i needed to let it grow again.
this but opposite, I am currently dark dark brown and he prefers me bright blonde.
This, I honestly have no idea how he prefers my hair. I'm not sure he notices it.
