Fashion opinions please

Hey gals.  Do you think a champagne/light gold dress would work with nude wedges?  I am not sure about the color combo; the other time I wore this dress I wore black heels, but none of my black heels are comfy to walk in.  Also, I want to wear the nude wedges the next day and it would be nice to get double-duty out of them.  If I wind up wearing black heels, though, I'll just wear them with both dresses.  Thoughts?

Re: Fashion opinions please

  • I will try to find a pic of similar black pumps - here are the wedges and the dress though (you guys have seen them before, sorry!)

    I'm worried it's a little too monochromatic.

  • I would wear them together as the nude wedges will make your legs appear longer. If you're worried about being too monochromatic, pair with bold black accessories such as a chunky necklace and bracelet to add some additional interest.

This is what I was going to do!  Semi-chunky black jewelry, black clutch, and maybe a black shrug.

P.S. Thanks, I was really hoping it wasn't just wishful thinking that I could make it work.

  • My instinct is no, but maybe I'm envisioning the dress in a different color than what it is. Photo please!

  • Agreed, go with the nude and pair with thick, bold black, silver or blue accessories...if you do black or silver, I say also maybe some red lips?

I do have a red that works with my coloring, good thought!  And it's much easier to pack an extra lipstick than another pair of shoes :)

  • I'd definitely wear those together and punch it up with jewelry.

  • I could not at first. It's good that I checked back, I was thinking completely different coloring on both. hahah
