Obviously everyone's anniversary is coming up. What are your plans to celebrate?
DH and I are on a strict budget right now, does anyone have any creative ideas to celebrate/gifts to give?

Re: anniversary...
We're just going out to dinner somewhere in DC...haven't picked a place yet. If I wasn't pregnant, we'd probably do more.
What about making dinner at home together? You could set a fancy table with candles to make it romantic and play your favorite music in the background:)

And now we're going out to Finale Desserterie in Boston, thanks to Groupon!

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
DH took the whole week off work, but I just started school and got a new job...so we can't travel (not to mention, trying to cut expenses).
We're both off work a few days before our anniversary. I know we planned to attend a Cineprov show (it's a live theater with comedians that poke fun of whatever movie they're playing.) We're also playing mini golf for free from Eversave. And I planned a picnic down at the river with our dogs. I just don't know what to do for the day of...
Maybe farmer's market to get ingredients, cook din together, and i can decorate the screened porch with lights/candles?
The gift is what's killing me.....what do i get him? We decided before we got married that it would be fun to follow the traditional anniversary gifts, so two years is cotton.
Why not buy him a cool tshirt? That's an easy way to do cotton without spending more than $30.
Stand up for something you believe in.
We were hoping to go away since it will also be our 10 year dating anniversary, but it's just not in the budget. So, I made reservations at my favorite upscale restaurant that he has yet to go to.
I bought him an XBOX 360/Kinect bundle and then I'm going to get him a couple t-shirts and boxers to fulfill the cotton tradition.
Our 10 year dating anniversary is 2 days before our wedding anniversary!
We're going away for a long weekend up to MI; the first half of the weekend we're attending the wedding of our good friends (so it's still an excellent way to celebrate) and then we're spending the second half of the weekend at my aunt and uncle's beach house in southern MI and we're going to go to wineries, gamble a little, and do whatever we want.
We've had a very expensive summer so we're not going too big on gifts. For our wedding anniversary I'm getting him a couple funny t-shirts; the traditional 10 year anniversary is tin or aluminum so I'm gonna go to Sam's Club and get him a big case of Spaghetti O's (in a can!) because I never let him buy them since they're pretty bad for you. He should get a kick out of it.
