I just got my hair highlighted - FINALLY - it has looked horrible....my hair dresser mentioned that Wednesday is his "blow out" day - ...Of course I was like "huh? for what?" I had no idea that there are women in this world that NEVER do their own hair - they get it blown out once (or twice) a week so they never have to worry about it.
My husband has been placed on notice that as soon as our renos are now, I am going to become a Wednesday Blow Out girl.
Re: Oh my...
This one blog I read; the girl only washes her once a week. She puts all kids of crap in it though and said she had to "train" her hair and start the process in baby steps. To me it is gross. I HAVE to wash my hair everyday-rather I put product or not in my hair it is a grease pit by the next morning.
This.
I've tried the dry shampoo, and I just feel dirty wearing it. Maybe I haven't given my hair/scalp time to adjust, but I don't think I could bear it. I have tried to only wet and use conditioner every other day in the past, and that was passable, but no way could I go to once a week washing.
I usually wash my hair on the third day--or at least I try. Suave's dry shampoo is really pretty awesome. The second day I occasionally wear it down but usually in a pony tail. I can sometimes get away with waiting until the fourth day to wash but if I'm going somewhere that I need to look cute, I can't help but wash, dry and style...even if I've washed it the day before. Plus I love the smell of clean hair.
I wish I could do once a week, but my hair starts to lose all volume and gets greasy looking.
Okay, I probably shouldn't have said "Gross."
I would totally do this if I could get away with it, but my hair is super greasy in the crown by about 10am on any day I don't wash it. I'm super jealous of anyone who can wash one or two times/week and have presentable hair.
I try to wash it about 3x per week. With as hot as it has been though, lately it's 4x per week since I sweat like something unholy. You can usually tell when I'm on day 3.
Flat hair that looks awful.
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
Oh, I am not at all offended!
My hair is relatively flat and lifeless anyway - even right after I wash it - so its not like washing it helps to make it look better. And I wouldn't exactly call my hair presentable...washed or not....LOL. I just don't really know WHAT to do with it. Yuck.
I hate washing my hair, too! DH thinks it's insane. It's not. His hair air dries before he's towel dried his body, pretty much. I have really thick wavy hair that either, 1., takes forever to blow dry or 2., looks like crap if I let it air dry (and makes me cold!) until I put giant hot rollers in it.
I'd rather deal with a little dirt
I feel gross if I don't wash my hair everyday since my hair gets so greasy. I've tried one brand of dry shampoo but it sucked. I'm jealous of people who can go a week without washing their hair!
What do you do if you work out most days? My hair gets gross and sweaty after running or working out (especially running in this heat.) I couldn't imagine not washing it everyday just to get the sweat out.
