Funny story about Mittens and babies
So my husband is in his peds rotations and the other night he was watching a YouTube video about checking for hip dysplasia in infants. The baby in the video was screaming its head off in a completely normal "Hey, I'm a baby" way, but Mittens didn't like it.
I should have taken a video, the look on her face was like, "What IS that!?" Here eyes got real wide and her ears went back and she got a little rigid. She was stalking H's laptop to find the sound. Mittens is clearly not ready for a baby brother or sister, hahaha.

haha that's funny. Pepper is afraid of loud sound, so we'll see how she does haha.
SIL has this life size baby doll that they used to help train their dog not to jump and all that, and we fully plan on borrowing it.
I am so going to need one of those!
Our dogs are great with infants actually, it's toddlers that they hate. H's cousin had a newborn when we were up for the 4th of July and my Lhasa (who hates most people) curled up at the foot of the bouncer and protected the baby. She wouldn't let our other dog near her lol.

My cat ignores and avoids the baby. If LO is on the floor, kitty will sit or lay near by, but not close enough to be touched. LO also ignores the kitty. We will see what happens when he changes his mind and wants to play with her.
