Several people said they forgot to vote last time the poll was up, so I'm going to re-post it. If people still aren't happy with the book choices, we can pick new books. Since we've been slow I'll leave this up all week. I'm also planning to host in Laurel, late September, early October.

go mama!!
Here are 2 i have found that to me sound like they would be a good read.
Room By: Emma Donoghue
Snow Falling on Cedars By: David Guterson
ETA: I think out of these 2 i would pick Snow Falling on Cedars.

Books we've read in the past:
Sarah's Key
Room
The Kitchen House
Drowning Ruth
There was one after room that I can't remember, ugh, right on the tip of my tongue.
While I like series for personal reading, I'm not huge on it for the book club. I like the variability of books I'm exposed to. Most of the books we've read I never would have picked up on my own.
We read Room last year.
I haven't read Snow Falling on Cedars
Guess my choice for Room was pretty good seeing that you guys already read it. How was it? I am thinking since i am sure we won't be reading that again i might see about getting it and reading it on my own.

As long as I'm available for the next get-together, I'll read whichever is chosen, but I voted for Silver Sparrow. The only one that I'm not particularly interested in is Cutting for Stone.

I've never done an IRL book club, but would love to join in with you ladies!
I haven't read any of these books, and would be fine with any of the choices.

You're welcome to join us. We should have a book picked shortly and we'll make sure you get the invite.
I've only been to a couple of the meetings, but I do keep up on the books.
Another one for your future books if you haven't discussed it already....The Scent of Rain and Lightning. Loved it!
I'd be happy to read anything just to join in the book club, but I was one of the people who said last time that I wasn't particularly interested in any of the books.
Some books I might suggest include (It's not letting me link the words for some reason):
