Anyone have a DSLR camera?
Hi Guys,
So I didn't get an anniversary present earlier this month. We decided to wait until we had the $ to get a DSLR camera. We do now!!! Anyone have one... Suggestions? Thanks
Re: Anyone have a DSLR camera?
I have a Canon 20D. It's a great camera, but to be honest, it's too much for my skills and knowledge of SLR. I should have gotten something simpler. If you are really into photography and know your stuff, definitely look into the D series of the Canons. If you are just getting into this thing - get a Canon Rebel - that's my new purchase, after I sell my Canon 20D.

Do the creep.
I have a Sony a33, and it's pretty cool. I did a lot of research before I bought one, and it had good reviews. Plus I liked it came with two lenses, rather than getting just one and having to buy the others.
DH can use all the features better than I can, but he has had more time to practice. I like the fact it can take 7 photos a second (or something like that...). Also the panoramic shots are cool.
Not the kind of thing you can tuck into your handbag though!
You should check out both the Canon and Nikons. Go to the store and pick them up. Everyone has a different comfort level on where they like the buttons and things. Dont get anything too fancy because it will be difficult to use. The girls on twopeasinabucket.com on the photography board have some good tutorials for beginners.
Truthfully though I think you should wait and save the money.
