anyone have any recommendations for something nice but not too overpriced?

mostly looking from union square area up to central park. spanish, seafood, portugeuse, fusion, tasting menu, etc -- maybe something unique? or just good food, decent price, nice place for just me & hubby on a friday night.

  • Hello!

We have a link in the green section at the top which says "Read me first!" You might get some helpful hints/tips there. If that does not answer your question, you can come back and ask and people will see if they can give you some further suggestions.

Good luck & have a nice date night with your hubby.

  • I have a "unique" restaurant recommendation.. Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place steps from Union Square. It's raw cuisine and a total experience! It's a little on the expensive side so if you don't want to sit for a whole meal (the backyard is very charming BTW) they have a secondary entrance to their Patisserie around the corner... their tiramisu is to die for!!!

Also, if you like Vietnamese, Saigon Market on University Place is an all time favorite of ours. Fresh and tasty.
